Eight working areas. For each: the field problem, and what Fenwix does about it.
Offline inspection
Inspection sites and coverage maps rarely agree.
Fenwix runs entirely on the device. Every tap is saved to durable local storage immediately: no sync step to lose, no spinner to wait for.
The inspection finishes where it started: on site.
Evidence capture
A checked box proves nothing a week later.
Photos with camera/gallery source recorded and SHA-256 hashed at write time, audio notes, written notes, GPS with accuracy, and annotations stored separately from the original image.
Every answer carries the material to back it up.
Findings & corrective action
Failed items get photographed, discussed, and forgotten.
A failed item becomes a finding with risk level, corrective action, responsible person, due date, emergency measure and root cause. Critical findings on an asset can trigger an out-of-service suggestion.
Every red mark has an owner and a deadline.
Verification & revisions
“Fixed” is a claim until someone checks.
Submitting evidence and verifying closure are separate steps. Completed inspections are never silently edited: corrections require a reason and produce a new revision, while the original completion time is preserved.
The record shows what changed, when, and why.
Asset history
Equipment history lives in someone's memory.
Assets carry their own inspection lineage. Scanning the QR on the unit opens its history where you stand.
“When was this last inspected?” has an answer.
Reports
Reports get retyped at a desk, hours after the facts.
The PDF is generated on the device the moment the inspection completes: cover with your company identity, report number, revision, compliance summary, findings, evidence and a verification block.
You hand over the report before you leave the site.
Backup & continuity
A lost phone should not mean a lost archive.
Full export packages records, photos, audio and signatures into a single file you store where you choose. Quick copies cover records only. Restore works even in read-only mode.
Your archive survives the device.
Accessibility & localization
Field crews don't all read the same language.
The app ships in 51 languages with large touch targets, icon-plus-label controls and autosave designed for gloved, one-handed use.
The tool adapts to the crew, not the other way around.
