Field inspection app

CURRENT

Turn field checks into traceable inspection records

Fenwix is an Android field inspection app for completing checklists offline, recording findings and photo evidence, following corrective actions and producing PDF reports from the source record. Core work stays on the device, so an inspection does not depend on a live connection or a Fenwix account.

Work offline

Open, complete and save core inspections without relying on field connectivity.

Keep evidence connected

Link notes, photos, findings, responsible people and due dates to the inspection record.

Produce a usable output

Generate a numbered PDF report and verify it against the local source record.

One field workflow from check to follow-up

  1. Select a checklist
  2. Inspect offline
  3. Record evidence
  4. Follow corrective action
  5. Generate the report

What can you do during an inspection?

Use a ready-made or custom checklist, mark each item, add notes and capture observations while you are at the work area. A failed item can become a finding without copying the same context into another tool.

  • Record pass, fail and not-applicable results
  • Attach photo evidence and visual annotations
  • Capture findings, immediate action, owner and due date
  • Keep asset and equipment context with the record

Why does offline operation matter in the field?

Basements, plant rooms, remote sites and temporary work areas often have weak or restricted connectivity. Fenwix writes the core inspection record locally first. Network access can return later without blocking the inspection itself.

  • No sign-in is required for the core Solo workflow
  • Autosave protects work in progress
  • Current Solo records remain local unless the user explicitly exports or shares them
  • Multi-device cloud synchronization is not a current feature

From finding to a record someone else can review

A checklist is only the start. Fenwix connects a nonconformity to evidence, a corrective action and a verification step. The completed record can then be issued as a PDF with a report number and revision context.

  • Evidence submission and verification are separate steps
  • Completed inspections can be amended through a controlled revision
  • Source-record verification checks the stored record and linked photo files
  • Verification does not claim that every statement or PDF pixel is inherently true

Know the current product boundary

  • Android is the current supported platform
  • Customer-owned shared storage and connectors are planned, not available today
  • Fenwix supports inspection work; it does not guarantee legal or standards compliance

Field inspection app questions

Does Fenwix work without internet?

Yes. The core Solo inspection flow is offline-first and stores work locally on the Android device.

Can I add photos and findings?

Yes. Photos, annotations, notes and findings can be linked to inspection items, with corrective-action details where needed.

Can Fenwix create inspection reports?

Yes. A completed inspection can produce a numbered PDF report from the local source record.

Where do I get Fenwix?

Fenwix is distributed through Google Play. Current availability and pricing are shown on the store listing.

What happens to existing records if a subscription ends?

Existing records remain accessible. The entitlement controls new work rather than removing historical access.
